Explain Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship

IIM Bangalore established Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India. They released this fellowship for candidates who wants to apply. It is hosted by nine IIMs across the country, i.e., IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lancashire, IIM Jammu, IIM Ranchi, IIM Udaipur, IIM Nagpur, and IIM Visakhapatnam. The Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship provides an opportunity for young and aspiring individuals to contribute to promoting economic development and enhancing skill development. This is a 2-year fellowship that aims at combining classroom sessions hosted by IIMs across the country with an intensive field immersion at the district level to design plans and acknowledge the barriers to raising economic output and employment and promotes livelihoods in rural areas. It is a certificate program in public policy and management by IIMs. This fellowship is developed at the initiative of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, and implemented in collaboration with State Skill Development Missions.
