Qualities of a good teacher

“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instil a love of learning.”

-Brad Henry (American lawyer and politician)

The shape of a student’s future is shaped not just by their hard work and calibre; it is also dependent on how good a teacher they have. A good teacher knows all the qualities and flaws of their students and how to mend them all.

Some of the qualities of a good teacher are-

1. Their focus is more on improvement and not on constantly pointing out flaws. Rather than getting discouraged, they keep their students highly motivated to perform better.

2. Good teacher instils a value system in students- Theoretical and practical learning is a part of academics; however, to make students understand the best of knowledge gained, the value system must be instilled early.

3. They always make a good cheerleader for their students. Often, they tend to be a bit hard on their students at times of mistakes. But, they back them regularly for their achievements or failures.

4. Patience is the key to becoming a good teacher. As students are naive and innocent, the teacher must develop the patience to handle them at such times and point out issues of any student with grace.

5. A good teacher must also be a good communicator, and students look forward to learning more and being better versions of themselves. Besides, a good teacher must also be a good listener to their students.

The profession of a teacher is a noble one, and it requires hard work, Digital Content, patience, and constant knowledge upgradation to build the student.
