The adjective cognitive derives from the Latin word ‘cognoscere’, which means “to learn,” and refers to the brain’s ability to think and reason rather than feel. Thinking can also be referred to as ‘cognition.’ It is the ability to process information, School Analytics, maintain attention, store and retrieve memories, and choose appropriate responses and actions. The ability to understand and express oneself to others can also be classified as thinking. Thinking is required for product interaction because the user must process the information from the product interface and determine what to do. There could be many different aspects of thinking involved.
Cognitive skills can be divided into five skills. They are;

- Long-term memory and short-term memory
- Logic and Reasoning
- Auditory and Visual Processing
- Processing Speed
