Grand Unification Theory

The Grand Unified Theory (GUT) is a theoretical framework in particle physics aiming to unify three of the fundamental forces—electromagnetic, weak nuclear, and strong nuclear forces—into a single, consistent theory. Seeking a more fundamental understanding of the universe, GUTs propose that these forces were once a single force during the early moments of the universe. While successful in predicting some phenomena, a complete GUT remains elusive. It suggests the existence of particles like X and Y bosons and predicts proton decay, yet experimental verification is ongoing. GUTs represent an ambitious pursuit in the quest for a unified understanding of the fundamental forces governing the cosmos.
