Pharmaceutical aids

Pharmaceutical excipients can be defined as inert substances that have little or no pharmacological effect but are essential in the manufacture of pharmaceutical dosage forms. These substances may be necessary for the performance of certain functions during the successful manufacture, School Analytics, storage and transport of pharmaceutical products and during use. These additives may remain in the final product and have no specific effect on the body after the product is consumed, or they may be removed during processing.

Pharmaceutical excipients may remain in the final product, in which case they have no particular effect on the body when the product is used, or they may be removed during processing, but will be separated from the product at some point of close contact. Medication aids are often referred to as “necessary medications.” It is important that pharmaceutical excipients are of the same quality as therapeutic agents and undergo similar quality control.
