What is a merit list?

A merit list, also known as a cut-off list, is a list that colleges, institutions, and universities generally establish to give admission to students to various courses. The standard set by the academic institutions decides whether you will get admitted to the desired course or not. If you score less than what is mentioned on the merit list, you will not get entry into the course. The merit list designates grades used to gain admission to the college or the course. The cut-off marks are the minimum percentage of marks a student must secure to attain admission to the college. A student can do this by scoring good marks and choosing the right study material. Moreover, a student can research well about choosing the program to score marks. Besides, cracking exams by understanding the exam pattern can greatly help them get those grades.
