The Rajasthan Examination Eligibility for Teachers (REET) is held once a year by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (BSER). REET is used to determine eligibility for hiring primary teachers in Rajasthan’s private or public schools. REET is divided into two levels: level 1 and level 2. Candidates who pass the level 1 exam are hired as primary teachers (classes 1-5), while those who pass the level 2 exam are hired as upper primary teachers (classes 6-8) in Rajasthan’s private or public schools. Candidates who qualify for both levels, however, are eligible for positions as primary and upper primary teachers.
The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) or Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET) is administered by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE). The REET exam at the state level is given for Level 1 and Level 2 papers. REET Level 1 is designed for Primary Teachers who want to teach Classes 1–5, while Level 2 is designed for Upper Primary Teachers who want to teach Classes 6–8. Individuals who wish to teach in Classes 1 to 8 must take both level exams. In order to be eligible to teach in Rajasthan schools, candidates must pass the REET 2023 exam.
