Board of Technical Education Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTE or BTEUP) is the board in India that provides technical education to students. The ‘State Board Of Technical Education and Training’ was established in May 1958, and the name was renamed to ‘The Board Of Technical Education’ in 1962.

The board offers approximately 60 one-year, two-year, three-year, and four-year courses in various disciplines. In group A, there are over 30 trades available, including computer science, IT, mechanical, electrical, electronics, automobile, and civil. The board’s functions include announcing the exam schedule, organizing semester exams, and announcing the results. Other responsibilities include affiliating institutions and establishing building and equipment standards.

BTEUP is affiliated with over 80 colleges that offer group A courses. Other organizations provide courses in textiles, home science, agriculture, Admission Management, and other fields. As of January 2019, UPBTE was affiliated with over 800 institutes, many of which were government polytechnics.
