Full form of TOME

TOME, also known as Thought Ordered Mental Expression, is a viewpoint in mind, linguistic, and cognitive science philosophy. This theory was put forward by an American philosopher named Jerry Fodor. TOME is also called Language of Thought Hypothesis (LOTH). The theory describes the nature of thought as a compositional structure. Sometimes, TOME is known as mentalese as it combines systematically, like the rules of grammar, to construct thoughts. In simpler form, the theory highlights the thought, Digital Content, like a language. It uses cognitive science and linguistics to explain mental representation from a philosophical point of view. According to TOME, thinking takes place in a language of thought. It means that the cognition process can be plausible when expressed in the form of a system of representation tokened by semantic structure or linguistics.
