NEET Importance

NEET is almost synonymous with MBBS. We often relate NEET with MBBS as it is a flagship course that the medical field offers. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an examination conducted to assess the student’s knowledge for their entry to medical institutes across the country. Those who successfully qualify NEET exam get entry or admission to medical programs, also one course popularly recognized as MBBS. 

This examination is conducted by National Testing Agency which offers limited applications, conducts NEET, declares results, and submits an All India ranks to the Directorate General Health Services, Government of India, for seamless counselling sessions. NEET also follows the ‘One nation, one test’ policy which has emerged as the one-tier common entrance test, thereby replacing all the other entrance tests at the state level, AIIMS, and JIPMER. 

The importance of the NEET exam is limited only to getting into a medical institute. For admission to MBBS or any related program, a student needs to qualify NEET exam.
