Reflective Teaching

Reflective Teaching is a methodology where teachers self-assess their teaching process. It involves self-evaluation of their teaching techniques and improvising them to achieve better results.

It is an ongoing process and teachers need to assess and evolve according to the needs of the students and achieve the desired target. Teachers can adopt the following strategy towards Reflective Teaching:

  • Be well-prepared: The teacher should always plan the lessons in advance and create a teaching strategy around a topic. When in class, the teaching should be in flow and not in a haphazard manner.
  • Implementation of remedial measures: Once the teacher knows the loopholes in the teaching strategy, they should include new and fresh ideas to impart teaching in a more refreshing and appealing manner. First proper lesson plans with newer techniques should be prepared and then implemented in class with full vigour.
  • Repeating the practice again: Teachers should be carrying out this practice time and again to self-assess and evaluate the quality of education being imparted to students.

Better results can only be fetched with continuous and dynamic teaching techniques which are modified and adapted according to the needs of the students regularly. learn more about Learning Management System.
