Verb

The employment of verbs to express an action, situation, or occurrence makes them an essential component of English grammar. These occurrences or activities are usually described by one of the following five verb tenses: root, third-person singular, present participle, past, and past participle.

Root: It is the form of the verb that does not have any ends. The form that appears in dictionaries is known as a verb’s verb root (or base form). However, no prefixes or suffixes are necessary for this type of verb. Other verb forms can be made using this type of verb.

Third-person singular Compared to other conjugations, it is unique. This verb form has a specific ending for normal verbs. The verb is finished with a -s

Present Participle The words in this verbal group are created by adding -ing to the end.  The progressive verb tenses of the past, present, and future can all be employed with it.

Past and past participle: With or without the suffix ed, the verb’s past and past participle. This verb form’s unique feature is that it can only be used in past tenses. learn more about School Analytics.
