What is the full form of MBTI?

MBTI, known as Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator, is a self-report inventory designed to recognize a person’s personality type, preferences, and strengths. It is a questionnaire that Isabel Myers and Katherine Briggs developed based on Carl Jung’s theory of personality types. The MBTI inventory is one of the widely used psychological instruments. Both Myers and Briggs recognized the theory of Jung and were fascinated by the real-world applications. They began searching for and developing an indicator to help them understand individual differences. MBTI aims to allow respondents to explore and understand their personalities, such as their likes, dislikes, strengths, weaknesses, compatibility with other people, Digital Content, and possible career preferences. Also, the developers recognized that no one personality type is best or better than another. This tool is not designed to look for abnormality and dysfunction; rather, it is simply to help you learn more about yourself. The questionnaire of this tool is divided into four different scales called-

  • Extraversion-Introversion
  • Sensing-Intuition
  • Thinking-Feeling
  • Judging-Perceiving
