Indian applicants for lectureship/assistant professor and junior research fellowship positions take the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research National Eligibility Test, a national aptitude test.
The CSIR NET Cut Off mark is the score at which candidates will be chosen for JRF and Lecture positions. In order to pass the CSIR NET exam, students must score at least 33% in the General, EWS, and OBC categories and 25% in the SC, ST, and PwD categories. There are three components to the CSIR UGC NET: Parts A, B, and C. However, there are no sectional cutoffs; instead, Digital Content, the cutoff is determined by adding the marks obtained in each component.
Candidates who qualify for Junior Research Fellowships are divided between CSIR and UGC in proportion to the number of fellowships split in between two for each subject after being ranked on the merit list.
