CABE Full Form

The Central Advisory Board of Education or, CABE, the Government of India’s oldest and most important educational advisory body, was founded in 1920 and dissolved in 1923 as a cost-cutting measure. It was resurrected in 1935 and has been in operation ever since. Calcutta University recommended the formation of the Central Advisory Board of Education. Calcutta University had been encumbered by the country’s responsibility for school and higher education management. As a result, the educational system was in disarray, and they faced numerous challenges. 

The Union Minister of Human Resource Development is appointed as Chairman of the Central Advisory Board of Education. Universities, central departments, planning commissions, Admission Management, civic society, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) appoint representatives. This body includes the members elected of the Rajya and Lok Sabha.
