Some of the criteria that help to gain accreditation for the deemed university are-
- In a five-year cycle, it must have been accredited with the highest grade for two cycles by NAAC and/or by NBA continuously. Besides, it should also secure the highest grade in the third cycle.
- It must have at least five undergraduate and five postgraduate departments for three years having research options for the school.
- It must have diverse teaching qualities and have produced verified research outputs.
- The institute must have permanent, fully qualified faculty for learning and research as per the norms set by UGC.
- It must have the necessary infrastructure for quality research and learning methodology.
