DIKSHA

Various state governments started programs for the digital support of teachers. Inspired by this Ministry of Education and the National Council for Teacher Education began a similar program but, on a pan-India basis.

DIKSHA (Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing) is a government initiative providing an integrated platform for learning resources for teachers. The system is made to be highly scalable and flexible to adapt to the needs of a large user base. The entire platform caters to the life cycle of a teacher, starting from their registration in Teacher Education Institute to their retirement.

The government and private institutions can access the portal DIKSHA for their teachers depending on their needs. The portal can be used to make classroom materials for students, teaching content, news and announcements for the teacher community, new initiatives, guides for classroom assessment planning, and other related things. More than 4,94,25,20,429 times, the DIKSHA portal has been used for accessing these materials.

As it is an integrated platform, teachers from any part of India, be it rural or urban, can access it and provide quality teaching to their students.
