JEE is the term for Joint Entrance Examination. It is an engineering entrance test held across India for admission to engineering institutes. JEE is a two-part competitive examination: Mains and Advanced. JEE exams are being used to gain admission to renowned colleges like IITs, NITs, and Government Funded Technical Institutes.
There is no maximum age limit for taking these examinations. This competitive exam is open to everyone who has completed their 12th grade or its equivalent. Over the course of three years, a candidate can sit for the Main exam six times.
Depending on the location of the examination place, the exam papers can be taken in English, Hindi, or other regional languages. The Main and Advanced exams have different patterns as well.
Following the main exams, students have five options. They can apply to NITs, IITs, GFTIs, and government colleges for admission. Many private institutions also admit students based solely on their Mains scores.
The Main test gets approximately 6 to 7 lakh applicants. There are around 50,000 seats available for candidates. The main exam is used to get admission to one of the 32 NITs, 24 IITs, or 21 CFTIs. You will be qualified for B. Tech and B.
