What is the Maharashtra State Board Exam?

The Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is an autonomous and statutory body established under the Maharashtra Secondary Boards Act 1996. This was later amended in 1977, and the important duties of the board are to conduct the SSC for class 10 and HSC for class 12 examinations. Maharashtra Board is one of the most popular education boards for enrollment in high school in India, after the Central Board of Secondary Education.

This board came into existence on January 1st, 1966, and comprises the secondary education regulations in Maharashtra. The act was later amended in 1976, and the name was changed to Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, which was initially held as Maharashtra State Secondary Education Boards. The board is responsible for implementing and forming rules and regulations as set by the state and the central boards. The board is also in charge of the implementation of the syllabus or curriculum of each grade, including the textbooks, exam schedules, and the type.
