Zonal Informatics Olympiad

The Indian Computing Olympiad conducts preliminary and primary rounds in the form of the Zonal Informatics Olympiad, which is one of the two rounds of examinations conducted by it. The algorithmic technique is used to solve the problems in the Zonal Informatics Olympiad.

It is a pen-paper mode of examination, where students attempt the questions in offline mode. However, there is also an online mode of assessment for the same, which is named as the Zonal Computing Olympiad.

After the candidates pass this first round, they can appear for the second round- the Indian National Olympiad in Informatics – the programming round. The question asked is in the C++ language, and the candidates are expected to solve the two questions in three hours.

A total of 30 candidates are selected based on the total score and are sent to the International Olympiad in Informatics Training Camp. Here, students are selected and trained to represent the country at the International Olympiad in Informatics. Candidates selected receive incentives and rewards at some of the great undergraduate colleges in India and abroad.
