The Bihar Public Service Commission conducts BPSC Examinations to recruit government positions in administration, executive, and other notified posts in Bihar.
State Public Service Commissions that existed earlier was constituted under the pre-independent era’s Government of India Act, of 1935.
The recruitment is done for many positions like civil services, teaching professionals, judicial staff, and much more within Bihar. The BPSC office has been headquartered in Patna 1951, the capital city of Bihar.
BPSC also prescribes an age limit for the candidates to appear in the examinations. The upper age limit for male aspirants in the General category is 37 years, while it is 40 years for female candidates within the same category. Male and female candidates from OBC, SC, and ST students are given further age relaxation with 40 years and 42 years maximum limit.
Candidates belonging to Bihar and neighbouring states like Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, School Management System, and West Bengal also appear for the exams. However, there is no bar on candidates from another state too.
The exam pattern for different examinations is notified by the state government every year on its official page. The syllabus, exam dates, announcement of results, and all the related information can be found on the page.
