The UPMSP, also known as the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, is the board governed by Uttar Pradesh. The board, called the Board of High School, School Analytics, and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh, is particularly responsible for conducting Class 10 and Class 12 exams every year. Additionally, the UPMSP board sets out the textbooks, syllabus, exam dates, and other crucial information for Classes 1 to 12. The UPMSP board was set up in 1921 under the United Provinces Legislative Council Act and is headquartered in Pragyaraj. The first-ever public examination conducted by the board was in 1923. The board regulates education in the UP states from its 3 regional offices in Varanasi, Bareilly, and Meerut. The major functions performed by the board are-

· Announcing the exam dates and hall tickets
· Evaluating the answer papers and announcing results
· Providing the syllabus, textbooks, and curriculum for Class 10 and 12
