DASA Full Form

DASA, or, Direct Admission of Students Abroad. The scheme is applied to an undergraduate degree’s engineering and architecture branches. It is offered by the eminent institutes of India.

Students from India or Indian nationals studying abroad can apply for the scheme.

Students get admission under DASA as per the rank secured in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). Based on the merit list that gets prepared, counselling sessions are held for students for registration, filling of choice and preferences, allotment of seats, and much more. Separate courses will have different sets of merit lists, and ranks are allotted as per their choices.

After the seat allotment, candidates must report to the allotted institute and pay the prescribed fee to lock their seats.

Eligibility Criteria for DASA-

 The cut-off marks are released just after the counselling sessions are conducted. There is a 15% quota set aside for Supernumerary Quota (SNQ)-for the candidates who belong to economically weaker sections. Out of this, 5% is set aside for Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf (CIWG). Countries under CIWG are Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, Iran, and Kuwait.  learn more about School Management System.
