Board examinations are public examinations held at the conclusion of the 10th class education (SSC) and the end of the 12th class education in India (HSC). The results of these tests are highly crucial for admission to colleges, professional programs, training courses, and other vocations.
State board exams are also known as Madhyamik, Secondary State Certificate, and Higher Secondary Certificate exams. They are governed and supervised by education boards from various states around the country. They do not occur concurrently due to variances in syllabi and the exam itself. Exams are typically held in February and March, with results released in April and May as of 2022 for the 10th standard.
Students in the 10th standard take exams in five key subjects: information technology, English, Hindi/other Indian regional languages, mathematics, science, and social studies. They also have the option to select a sixth subject such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Content, Music, Fine Arts, Physical Education, Foreign Languages, and so on. Students in the 12th grade must select one of three streams available in schools: science, commerce, or humanities.
