What is the MTech program?

The full form of the MTech program is a Master of Technology. It is a professional postgraduate engineering course awarded to students after completing two years of study in this field. The degree attained is specifically related to the study of engineering. In India, the MTech course is imparted in various specializations such as computer science, civil engineering, chemical engineering, VLSI, mechanical engineering, communication and electronics engineering. The course is provided on a full-time and part-time basis. It is also receptive to working diploma holders with work experience for a specified period. The eligibility criteria for this course are candidates who have completed their BE or BTech with a valid score and have completed a 5-year Science or Applied Sciences program. Admission to this course is based on the rank obtained in the entrance test conducted for MTech or ME. However, every institute has its respective eligibility criteria for admission to the ME/MTech course. The job opportunities for ME/MTech graduates are vast, as they can get jobs in almost all sectors. They are hired as subject-matter experts, consultants, managers, Digital Content, researchers, etc.
