What is WBCHSE?

WBCHSE, known as the West Bengal Council of Higher Education, is one of the autonomous education boards in West Bengal and is administered by the State Government. The board is responsible for conducting Standard 12, also known as the WB HS exam. The classes that are handled under WBCHSE consist of Classes 11 and 12. Also, the study material is provided by the board itself. The exam is usually conducted in March, and the Class 12 WB HS board lays the foundation for further studies. The passing marks or the students’ scores determine the stream they will take up in college. More than 7 lakhs students generally attempt class 12 board exams in West Bengal, and the board releases the updated WB board class 12 examination board timetable every academic year. The function of the WBCHSE 12th board is to organize the exams for classes 11-12, design the curriculum for the Academic Years as per the prevailing conditions, formulate the syllabus keeping the view of the SCERT norms, and ensure smooth running of the session.
