NIFTEM full form

The National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management or NIFTEM was established by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries of the presidency of India at Sonipat in Haryana. Programs at this university include MBA, BTech, MTech and PhD. The departments are mostly food-centric as the Indian Government formulated this university to be a ‘one-stop solution provider’ for various troubles in the food sector. Departments available at the university are agricultural and environmental sciences, food engineering, food science and technology, food business management and ED, and basic and applied sciences. NIFTEM contains a proper Research Development Council (RDC), which has 87 members presently. The members are a medley of academicians, researchers and various people from the industry.

Two forms of scholarships are provided to eligible students from NIFTEM. One is the NIFTEM Merit Scholarship which is paid to the toppers every year and consists of a fee waiver and a monthly stipend for 10 months.

Another is the NIFTEM Merit cum Means scholarship, which supports the scholar’s financial situation. The scholar will be eligible if earning Rs 2,50,000 or less once a year. This help also includes a stipend for 10 months and a fee waiver.

All candidates who have cleared Standard XII with a minimum of 50% marks fulfill NIFTEM eligibility criteria for UG course admissions. Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s (of four years) or master’s course with a minimum of 60% marks are eligible for PG course admissions at NIFTEM.
