REET stands for Rajasthan Eligibility Examinations for Teachers and is one of the most important exams for individuals aspiring to be primary and upper primary teachers in schools in Rajasthan.
The examination is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan for Level 1 and Level 2 papers where;
REET Level 1 stands for Primary teachers who want to teach in classes from 1 to 5
REET Level 2 stands for Upper primary teachers for classes 6 to 8.
Those applicants who want to teach in classes 1 to 8 must appear for both levels to become qualified teachers.
The examination is held once a year in offline mode by the Govt of Rajasthan. The application form costs 550₹ for one paper and 750₹ for both papers.
Duration of the Exam
Both the levels have MCQ question papers of duration of 150 minutes each with maximum marks of 150 in both levels. There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
Graduate with 50% marks in aggregate, along with a diploma or bachelor of elementary education for level 1
Graduate with 50% marks in aggregate along with B.ed or Diploma in Elementary education or B.ed ( Special education) or Bachelor in elementary education or BA/ BSc.
